Halloween was a blast this year (again!) as Savannah looked forward to wearing her princess dress, and collecting as much delicious candy as she could. She also very generously shared it, saying we didn't even need to ask to take any, because it was ours too. Wow! Nana and Papa are awesome sports: look how they dressed up for Halloween!
Savannah loves school, but it wears her out (see how she fell asleep in her fab new chair!)
Savannah had a superb summer. Playground hopping, soccer (ok, that one didn't last), ballet (anytime, anywhere), camping, swimming, having fun with the whole fam damly, giggling, and getting ready to start schoolie boolie were all part of the package. Fun all the way around!
Bonne Fete, Xiao Ling! Four years old already! Savannah couldn't wait for this big day, and boy, did she celebrate! With Michel, Nicky, tantes and oncles and grandparents galore, and of course with favourite little sister Tanje! She got her wish for a frog themed party, complete with a frog cake, frog hop on lilipads drawn onto a green tablecloth (thank you, buck store!), pin the tail on the tadpole, and frog hop race.
Three fun-filled years since Gotcha Day - unbelievable how life has changed for all of us during that time. Savannah has brought tons of joy, countless sleepless nights, lots of laughter, love, and grand times, and we're pretty sure she'd say the same from her end. Here's to a lifetime of all that!
Sass was both a gentle princess and wild tigress for Hallowe'en! She was unusually enthusiastic about getting up in the morning, and just bananas by the time I picked her up at daycare! She, Tanje and and pal Maddyx had a blast going house to house pulled by a wagon chariot (would Sass have it any other way?!), and boy, did they ever get a lot of delicious loot! A fun fun day!
Savannah loves to catch and hold bugs (sometimes), slugs (ugh!) and frogs, impressing us and enjoying our oouhs and ahh's when we marvel at her interest in doing so! She also was very helpful in running the water for us when we camped, and at helping Tante Elaine and Tanje feed the wildlife.
Our little girl is 3! Wow, faster than a New York minute, here she is! Can't believe she's a preschool-aged kid! Lucky too - she's had 3 birthday celebrations (will she get 4 next year?!) - one at Terrace Suites, where Tante Josee made her a special butterfly cupcake (thoughtful or what!) and a whole lot of fam damly was there (fantabulous!), one at the Garderie (what a great bunch!) and one at home, with Nanna and Poppa. Note the beautiful smocked dress from Nanna, and the black and red and white one from Tante Elaine.
Savannah has also started dance lessons, and she absolutely loves them!
