Our homestudy update is complete. It's expired, being over 2 years old, and the Ministry in its infinite wisdom suddenly decided that it needed updating. So much for making adoption easier! Now, if we could only get equitable EI benefits for adoptive parents... Ah well! One can dream!
To our surprise, we also found out that our citizenship application for Savannah is expired, so we've had to jump through a few more hoops for that, and are anxiously awaiting its completion. Took only a few weeks last time, so we hope this part will be easier.
