To our great surprise, last week, we received by email the 2 booklets from Children's Bridge relating to referral and travel. 30+ pages packed with information on what to expect and how to prepare. This was the 'next' milestone, the only official one from Children's Bridge, between notification of LID and referral. We remember thinking 'wow, once we get to that, it won't be long to referral'!
CB says referral could occur between June and September. We're figuring because of the Olympics, it'll more likely be August or October (likely no referrals in September, and possibly none in August). We'll see. Nevertheless, we've made progress, and that's something to celebrate wildly!
On another topic, our Citizenship applications for Savannah have expired, so CB tells us to update that IMMEDIATELY (their capitals, not mine), so we can travel with our group. So again this week, we had to run around to get signatures, complete some paperwork, and mail it. It only took about 4 weeks last time, so we're hoping it'll be the same.
Also, our new adoption practitioner (the first one retired) met with us on March 8th to update our expired home study. All our references, Josee and Mike, Joanne and Franco, Debbie, Ann, Mars and Tanya, Bronwen, and Denis had to be contacted. We so appreciate their support! This adoption is certainly a community event!
Here's to many days worth of referrals over the next few months (only 36 LIDs to ours!, with an average of about 6-7 per month receiving referrals). Hope and pray!

Wow!! That's great news. Sounds like things are moving along. Scott has been reading the Rumor Queen and feels strongly that things will likely speed up once they increase the donation to the orphanages. At this point I don't care about the money- if that's what it's going to take then bring it on!!
